Dear David,
Have you looked at the Chelton system ? I have it in my 690A . It
includes forward looking 3D synthetic vision ,gps/waas, all is displayed
on two flat screens with standby battery , all Primary Flight
Instruments, plus more . This system works really well in the mountains
. I shot an approach into Jackson Hole in light snow at night . All the
terrain was depicted in perfect detail while I decended down through the
IMC approach . ..The web site is www.cheltonsystems.com

cell 310 386 8333 and we are based at kemt..Nick Martin N690DB

Were you looking at the G1000 or the 600 for the King air? $100,000
sounds a bit rich for the 600.

David,
Welcome aboard.
I have had a look at the proposed pricing for the Kingair, just a little
frightening, as I recall the figures quoted by Garmin in an article in
Aviation Week and Space Technology, there would not be much change out
of AUD$100,000.
Cheers,

David-
Ah- it must be your 690 that we saw images of when selecting the system for
installation in our 685....
We aren't flying yet- but getting there. I was impressed by the terrain
display features, HITS and the conformal display of TCAS targets on the PFD
as well. Can't wait to get this system into the air.

Gents-
I think Bill might be seeing the pricing for the G1000/STec combination in
the KingAir- that was a bit more than "two months salary."
The G600 pricing information that I've seen has hovered around $29000 for
the setup- but it is unclear if this is one, or two screens. (I'm assuming
one.) It does not include installation, etc... My shop seemed to think
the initial price to market was a bit low- and it would wind up coming in
around $35,000/screen.

Commander drivers;
My Christmas came early, it came today. Harry and Mike drove up from Titusville
to Griffin, GA., and installed a set of freshly overhauled props on my 560E
with Capt. Jimbob's STC. It has been a long frustrating two years as various
problems arose for both Harry and myself. Harry had a little problem getting
the engines started as it has sat for some time with a dead battery, but he showed
up with a new battery and two props. Now to get the annual done and I should
be airborne. NO PROP AD's again.
Merry Christmas
Don
