I've notices it climbs better at 123. ( I just hold it low after clearing obstacles, until I get there when conditions permit. Like a Fouga, whose Vy is 200 mph. Of course, maybe its just more fun). "landing approach" in the manual (not listed in the table) is 76 mph, well below Vmc (not that you *have* to hold speed above Vmc, btw, but it's not normal practice these days.) BTW, it settles beautifully at that speed, but of course you need the runway made, and go-arounds would be an emergency procedure. Gear 150 mph (That's what I use except in emergency . I think its actually specified higher, 186mph. ). Flaps up to =BD 150mph Flaps Full : 110mph. Vne = 260 mph (I've actually seen pretty close to it twice, once when being called into a search from a logistics mission (the coast guard doesn't hear speed two-fifteen we'll be there in 10 minutes very often, though they have a few fast fixed wing A/C), once during a check ride). It would be interesting to see how these relate to the 560s and 500s, which should be aerodynamically similar. In particular I think the specified Vx and Vy in the manual are just plain wrong. If there was a big variance with the other 5-series that would support the idea. As for the rest, I can get them from the plane today and list them (and confirm these), but is your interest historical or practical? I haven't been around an AC-520 since the last decade of the last millennium. Can anyone give me a list of V-speeds from the AFM? I realize the V-speed nomenclature wasn't used when the manual (what -- all 4 pages?) was written, but if someone can list the performance speeds, I'd greatly appreciate it.
