The spread sheet above is for the 685 Commander specifically N414C. I developed it using a modified linear regression. If you have ever read a 685 manual you understand that it would take a team of mathemeticians 5 years in comfortable chairs sitting around a table to determine landing and TO distance for a 685 based on Temp press and gross weight. The same method can be used for developing a spread sheet for any plane. In Cessnas and Pipers you can use straight linear regression models. y=(mx)+b If you select the cells you can see the formulas for calculated values. The spreadsheet will calculate thee numbers quickly and is usually within 5% of the numbers derived using the POH except at the extreme high and low ends of temp where you have no business flying anyway. Bear in mind numbers don't mean sh*t if you do not fly the plane correctly. -------- Milt 2003 F1 Rocket 2006 Radial Rocket Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=125082#125082

Attached is a W&B spreadsheet for my current plane. You can modify it for any plane by just changing the titles, arm and weights or adding in items as needed. The principle is the same for all aircraft. -------- Milt 2003 F1 Rocket 2006 Radial Rocket Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=125083#125083 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/n91tx_weight_and_balance_calc_640.xls
