I have a 680F(p) and have had the heater replaced with one which is much
simpler, better and was cheaper than having the old unit repaired. It also
has no AD notes. The guys are in Michigan that did the install. If you are
interested I can send pictures and info.

Best of the season to everyone.
I have to replace my cabin heater in the 680FLP, (therefore it's the one
installed in the back).
I have the Mr. RPM conversion and am no longer pressurized, (some of the
plumbing for that appears to be removed).
The direct replacement for it does not fit at all so the engineers have put
it back in the box and plan on sending my heater with it so the assembler of
the other heater will know what it looks like and what it has to fit.
My engineers have asked me to get help from you all in the form of pictures
of the duct work that carries the air from the scoop to the heater as well
as any air plumbing in the tail.
Harry, do you have pictures of yours you can send?
Thanks for anything anyone can send.

I need to take off the 2007 fly-in announcement, but otherwise it should be
in a workable state.
We can add the heater stuff to the Maintenance section off the main menu on
the left-hand side.
Let me know if you find any discrepancies.
Thanks

Wonderful, I would love your information and images to try and figure this
thing out. Frankly I want to rip all the air-conditioning and pressure
valves units and go simple, I can't wait to see the info, thanks.

Tom,
I have a 680F(p) and have had the heater replaced with one which is much
simpler, better and was cheaper than having the old unit repaired. It also
has no AD notes. The guys are in Michigan that did the install. If you are
interested I can send pictures and info.

Subject: Commander-List: Heater installation

Nico,
The company everyone is talking about can be found at

I think they're the same guys who came to Dayton and gave a great talk
on aircraft heater function, the weak & strong points of the Janitrols,
and the strengths of their replacement units.
