Subject: Commander-List: RCA green screen radar
Would anyone happen to have the "drive train" to turn the antenna back
and forth for a RCA Primus 20/30 WXD? It is a phased-array the tilt
moves it up and down, it is the back and forth that has ground to a
halt. the unit (indicator) works fine. If I can't get the gear replaced,
looks like I might end up pulling the indicator out and filling the hole
with a new "experimental" unit like the GRT with syntehtic vision, xmsr
weather and just put a label on it... "VFR only" chuckle chuckle...
wonder why I am looking for a 40 year old gear? But - if someone had
one, (cheap) and I could get my avionics guy to drop it in - the green
screen has certainly served me very well over the years in my 500B. To
get a radar shop to look at and fix it - I might as well by the grand
rapids technology, or blue mountain, or dynon - whatever.

Hello Commander folks,
Forgive the blatant plug :-).
I have a close personal friend who has recently joined Bright Line Bags.
They manufacture a great flight bag; superbly organized and half the
size of conventional bags. I've examined one closely and can attest to
the quality of workmanship and the amount of thought that went into it.
I know that even in a Commander, space can be at a premium. I'm going to
buy one. If we wanted to do a Group Buy, I could probably get us a
reasonable discount.

I saw them at the Helicopter Show in Houston in the spring.
There are a lot of neat features about them and they look very well
made.

That's horrible news....Jack has been a major part of our flight group
for as long as I've been involved (10 yrs?). I'm sorry to hear about
this. I hope everything works out for the best and I know we're all
