Bob, Check with Commander Dock (Jack Chappell) I think I had one some time ago and traded it to Jack. His phone # is (951) 371-7513. Tell him I said to give you a good deal. Moe N680RR 680Fp From: Robert Feldtman Sent: Wednesday, July 16, 2008 6:53 PM Subject: Commander-List: RCA green screen radar Would anyone happen to have the "drive train" to turn the antenna back and forth for a RCA Primus 20/30 WXD? It is a phased-array the tilt moves it up and down, it is the back and forth that has ground to a halt. the unit (indicator) works fine. If I can't get the gear replaced, looks like I might end up pulling the indicator out and filling the hole with a new "experimental" unit like the GRT with syntehtic vision, xmsr weather and just put a label on it... "VFR only" chuckle chuckle... wonder why I am looking for a 40 year old gear? But - if someone had one, (cheap) and I could get my avionics guy to drop it in - the green screen has certainly served me very well over the years in my 500B. To get a radar shop to look at and fix it - I might as well by the grand rapids technology, or blue mountain, or dynon - whatever. bobf 500GW

Hello Commander folks, Forgive the blatant plug :-). I have a close personal friend who has recently joined Bright Line Bags. They manufacture a great flight bag; superbly organized and half the size of conventional bags. I've examined one closely and can attest to the quality of workmanship and the amount of thought that went into it. I know that even in a Commander, space can be at a premium. I'm going to buy one. If we wanted to do a Group Buy, I could probably get us a reasonable discount. Check them out at http://www.brightlinebags.com/ Cheers, /John AC-500B N353CC

More to add: If you like the bags, contact Bryan Smith at bryan"AT"brightlinebags.com and tell him you're part of the TCFG; we're the launch group for a new program. He'll give you $10 off on the bag. It's a Pilot Program...doh. /John Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=193447#193447

I saw them at the Helicopter Show in Houston in the spring. There are a lot of neat features about them and they look very well made. Kory, That's horrible news....Jack has been a major part of our flight group for as long as I've been involved (10 yrs?). I'm sorry to hear about this. I hope everything works out for the best and I know we're all pulling for Jack. /John KORY S wrote: > > YOU MAY NOT KNOW BUT JACK HAS SUFFERED A SECOND MAJOR HEART ATTACK AND IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION.... > THE OUTLOOK FOR JACK IS NOT VERY GOOD.. > HIS DAUGHTER KRISTI IS TRYING TO SORT OUT JACK'S HANGAR AND AFFAIRS THE BEST SHE CAN BUT IT IS A DAUNTING TASK... > > THOUGHT YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW > > KORY > > > Read this topic online here: > > http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=193510#193510 > > >
