Gentlemen: I am having a problem with a right main gear landing light. It has become intermittent and the gear must be put down more than once to get the light to stay illuminated. Any thoughts on what might be causing this to occur. Our local shop looked at this but has not been able to run down the problem. As always, I greatly appreciate any advice ya'll can provide on the subject. I am learning as I go along. Sincerely, Tommy Mathieu

I have a new snag, when I push the Volt/Amp button the needle goes left instead of displaying the Volts. Both Alternators are still putting out Voltage so it might be just the gauge. Any opinions? My 560 has a similar problem - on the 560 gear the micro switch is triggered by the down lock plunger gets gummed up with hydraulic fluid. It eventually makes contact but on a delayed basis. All I've done is clean it (replaced the metal diving board that activates the micro-switch once) and it works just fine. ----- Original Message ----- From: Robert Feldtman To: commander-list@matronics.com Sent: Tuesday, August 12, 2008 10:30 AM Subject: Re: Commander-List: Another one bites the dust dirty micro switch till proven otherwise - are your bungee cords fresh? bobf On Tue, Aug 12, 2008 at 9:26 AM, Tommy Mathieu <tmathieu@msn.com> wrote: Gentlemen: I am having a problem with a right main gear landing light. Hi Jim, I still want to make it to the fly-in, but I've had a rough start to my week. Morris found that the case on my right engine is cracked...pretty badly. So I have no airplane for the moment. Sadly this is my "new" engine (800hrs. TTSO). I'll know more by next week, in time to make the deadline.
