HI KIDS
I just got back from another delivery.? i moved a Commander 114 from Stockton (SKC)
TO ALN near St Louis.? left about 11am and flew direct to Tonnapah TPH NV.?
There was no 100 oct fuel available at Stockton, can you believe it?????????????????
Anyway, landed at TPH to find no one home here ether.? The place was
open but mo one around.? I cleared the fuel meter and tried the on off switch,
it worked!!? So, I topped off and left a note with my CC info taped to the cash
register.? They called later to thank me for the biz.
Crossed the Sierras at 13.5 then let back down.? Climbed to 9.5 after TPH then
finally to 14.5 to cross the Rockies just south of Denver.
Flew direct to Goodland KS (GLD) and landed after dark.? Topped off again and made
it to ALN.? I crossed John Towners place at about 9:45 @9.5 and had a wonderful
view of all of KC.? it is a beautiful city at night.? Had 45-50 Knot ?tailwinds
for a ground speed of 190-195 KTS!!!? The airplane is a 148Knot normal?cruse.?
Touched down about 11PM.? I have a couple more deliveries lined up, but
next week it will be of to the Barrett Jackson car auction in Scottsdale.for
some R&R.? jb???????

JB,
I was not in town the last time you came through New Mexico.
I put a self service unit in at Montrose, CO and in Pullman, WA
recently.
Let me know when you come through next time.
