G'day Jimbob, Bill et al,
Here in Oz we have a 560E which has a roller door conversion fitted up across the
rear cabin roof where the headliner would be. While not in use the normal cabin
door is reattached and the roller door locked in place above the rear bench
seat.
The intention of the roller door is to provide easy and safe in-flight opening
for skydiving operations.
I can send some jpegs...
Cheers from Oz
Russell

560E VH-CAU has a roller door fitted for skydiving. I will find out about
the paperwork. It was done about 7 or 8 years ago. The roller door slides up
across the roof of the rear cabin while the normal door is fitted. The
aircraft also has foot and hand rails fitted to the fuselage for the meat
bombs to hang onto.
The 680E has been reweighed, managed to get a couple of hundred pounds out
of her. Has even got a professional looking weight & balance system. All
very modern. If anyone is interested I will send them copies.
Have almost finished the inspections for C of A. So hopefully will be flying
next week. Only 8 years later ( quick project).
Amazing times here in OZ, floods in the North, Rain in Sydney and Victoria
is on fire with considerable loss of life. About 200 dead and whole towns
wiped out. Eriksons Aircranes are going to be worn out by the end of the
season.
Cheers
Richard
