Barry-
I live right up the road from Carson City (Sparks, NV) so you will
technically be a guest of those of us who live here. I'm not sure what
your schedule is like- but if you have time you really should get up to
Reno to see the US National Championship Air Races at KRTS (formerly
4SD) airport. The races will be taking place at the same time as the
fly-in so it conflicts a bit- but the theme is similar! If you'd like
any suggestions for other things to do while visiting the Great State of
Nevada, please let me know!
I'm going to make every effort to get down to Carson to see you all
face to face finally- but I own a team that races each September- and I
tend to be "busy as a one legged man in an ***-kicking contest" during
that week of the year.
I will try to bring N414C down to Carson so you guys can see the
refit she came through. They close KRTS for traffic during the races so
it will take some pre-planning. I'll keep you posted.

Hi All,
Well, my flights, car rental and hotel are all booked and my on-line
US Visa Application has been approved.
So, I'm all set to go!
Who else will be attending?
Best Regards,
Barry

HI BARRY? I cant wait to see you at the flyin!!!!? On a biz note, the following
airplanes have made their final flight.? A/C 560A, N2751B, S/N 251,.....? 560A
N29MZ,..... 680, N1099V,...... 680, N87YA, S/N 515-184 AND 680E, N8489C, S/N
863-81.? Morris Kernick and I have moved these airplanes to their final resting
place, the Ozark/Enterprise Community College.? They now have seven complete
Aero Commanders in their A&P training program.? Only N8489C?and N29MZ were airframes
that could ever have been returned to service.? The others had airframe
issues that would have never allowed them to be restored.? N1099V used 47 (forty
seven) quarts of oil in the 10.5 hour ferry flight!!? The last fueling stop
took 19 quarts!!? It arrived safely.? You just got to love those old geared
Lycs!!? jb?
