Seems like a 1966 560E is for sale on Ebay. Looks like she's been sitting for quite
some time - missing tail cone and most of her aileron, flap and elevator
surfaces. Anyone know more about her?

Folks,
A Commander (probably a -500S) disappeared in the Torres Straight, Cape York area
of Australia yesterday. He had reported within about 20nm of destination, but
even with that limited search area, foul weather (wet season in full swing)
has hampered search efforts.
More details when available.

Any details? Did the pilot radio his situation? Lots of islands in the
area -- I hope he made it within swimming distance of a nice beach if una
ble to land.

Hi Keith & Folks,
Unfortunately the situation doesn't look good for this one.
The aircraft is VH-WZU 500S s/n 3060 and went missing early on 24 Feb.
Grid searching has turned up just a life jacket...nothing definitive.
Pilot radioed a routine broadcast shortly before the time it is assumed
he went missing.
Mission was a routine single pilot freight flight from Cairns to Horn
Island.
