    Subject: Airworthiness Cert and Registration?
    From: "stratobee" <adam@adamfrisch.com>
Do the FAA automatically send out a new Airworthiness Certificate and Registration after the sale has been registered? I'm assuming I can fly on the old AC and use the pink slip as the temporary reg, but I want to make sure I'm not braking any rules. -------- Adam Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=336685#336685

Adam: The Certificate of Airworthiness is a document that remains with the aircraft, not changing on sale or transfer of ownership. The title company registered the airplane to you, but it may take up to trhee months to receive the new hard copy. The airplane is legal with the pink slip (temporary registration) except for any flight outside the continental US, which would require a "Fly Wire" document from the FAA.
