From: yourtcfg@aol.com HI ADAM....During the course of a normal annual inspection, the spar will be inspected through the many inspection openings in the bottom of the wi ng. Since there is no bi metallic corrosion issue, a visual inspection is most adequate. BTW, is anyone attending the Twin Commander Factory fly.i n in FL this month?? I will be speaking as we as a rep from Lycoming. Sh ould be a great time. Jimmy Rodriguez, from P.R. is planning to attend. Hope to see you there!! jb -----Original Message----- From: stratobee Sent: Tue, Apr 12, 2011 10:44 pm Subject: Commander-List: Wing spar inspection 520? So, as I've gathered from my findings the 520 and the straight 560 never had the tainless steel strap that caused galvanic corrosion in the main wing spar. either does it have any recorded main spar failures in flight. That's all good nd reassuring. But as most pilots, my greatest fear would of course be to have a catastro phic ing spar failure in flight. The mere thought of that makes me pale. So I was ondering - is there an easy way to inspect the main wing spar in a 520? Ju st or my own calmness. Or is it an ordeal? -------- dam ead this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=336785#336785 ======================== =========== -= - The Commander-List Email Forum - -= Use the Matronics List Features Navigator to browse -= the many List utilities such as List Un/Subscription, -= Archive Search & Download, 7-Day Browse, Chat, FAQ, -= Photoshare, and much much more: - -= --> http://www.matronics.com/Navigator?Commander-List - -======================== ======================== =========== -= - MATRONICS WEB FORUMS - -= Same great content also available via the Web Forums! - -= --> http://forums.matronics.com - -======================== ======================== =========== -= - List Contribution Web Site - -= Thank you for your generous support! -= -Matt Dralle, List Admin. -= --> http://www.matronics.com/contribution -======================== ======================== =========== ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 10:49:52 AM PST US From: Roland Gilliam Subject: Commander-List: 690 B A nice 1976 690 B for sale on www.govdeals.com Roland ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 07:15:08 PM PST US Subject: Commander-List: Re: NICE FLIGHT From: "stratobee" Now, that wouldn't be N620DR that went to Pago Pago, by any chance?
