Every time I went away and pumped more then $3,000.00 of fuel into the hay
burner they would stop the card entirely, I would have to call them after
the rejection of the transaction..."For your own safety" they said.

My American Express has never failed me yet. Last week I put a $3=2C100.00
Credit purchase with no problem. However=2C my next purchase was much small

      *Hello Adam "aka stratobee"*

My e-mail to the chat page does not always work but I hope this gets
through to you. I am an old Commander guy that loves Commanders and I
have read many of your postings. I have much compassion and respect for
what you have been through and I wish I could help but I have followed
many of the postings and in my opinion you have received *some excellent
advice* from the TCFG gear engine guys. As for your credit card deli-
ma I can certainly relate. Just my 2 cents worth, get a AX card and if
you communicate with AX they will work with you (we currently pay for
all of our fuel nightly with our AX card and they have been very good to
work with). Take care and if there is anything I can help you with you
e-mail me direct for sometimes my e-mails do not go through (old age
setting in). Oh! and if you want any Bob Hoover videos I can send you
some, from 1996-2000 I got to ferry Hoov's aircraft between air show and
of course that was much fun) Take care, fly safe and all the best.

      *RESPECTFULLY,

      Hi gang,

Just found and fixed yet another leak on 747H! Running clean again. Does
anyone have a line on an overhaul kit, or shop that overhauls the fuels valves

on the 223 gallon birds. There are 4 in each wing, 2 for fuel (main/aux), one

each for oil and hydraulic. Mine are worn out in the left wing and are getting

      slow. Appreciate any help!

      Thanks,

      Craig

Sorry to hear about the credit card delima.

Some time ago I landed and taxied up to the fuel island. It was after hours
and the weather wasn't too good. What appeared to be a father and son team
walked over and said theat the pumps were inop=2C and that the older of t
he two had trid both of his cards with no sucess. I stuck one of my cards
in the slot and proceeded to pump 150+ gallons in my Commander. I then tol
d them that if they would give me some cash that I would use my card and pu
mp some fuel into their bird. The father then proceeded to tell me that "w
e never carry any cash" in a somewhat smug manner. The only thing that I c
ould think of to say was "sorry I can't help you". Sometimes cash is still
king. Some of the smaller mom and pop operations still give a minor disco
unt for cash or will give you the fleet rate. My standard line is "lookey
here=2C things are a little tight now=2C what is the cheapest way I can get
some fuel and get out of here".

UP date on travels of Adam,
He stopped at KAEG here in New Mexico just before Lunch today.
We had lunch. And he proceeded on westward. In search of lower priced AVGAS.
He has an Ipad with the chart bag software that shows the fuel prices all along
      the way.

      Bill,
There was a link to the CASA web site at the bottom of the message, which will
bring up all the ADs applicable to all Aero Commanders in AU.
Look down the list to no. 66, open it up, it's a PDF, and there you have it.
If the link doesn't work, go to <www.casa.gov.au>, click on the AD page, click on the "under 5700kg" page, find and click on "Twin Commander", and look for No. 66.
The search function is lousy, entering AD/AC/66 doesn't work, for some strange
      bureaucratic reason.
      Cheers,
      Bill Hamilton

After all this time I finally found someone that normally says no to
everything and he said you do it this way and they can't turn it down. We
      will see.

Mo, I think I may get John Towner's battery system approved on a field
