To all Commanderites,
The time has come to sell my '54 straight 560 serial # 173 N206DX.
Although I hate to even consider parting it out as I would much prefer
to see it remain a flying airplane I may not have the option but to sell
the parts.
Both the engines were gone through (cases split, new bearings,
rings hydraulic units etc., etc) and they sound great, with manifold
pressures identical. The props were gone thru several years ago but are
out of calendar. The airplane has been hangared for the last 15 years
of its life (at my airpark home) but flown little and it's a shame to
have it sit. It's been my project baby and wouldn't take much to finish
it into a nice ride.
She's in ferryable condition. It has a King Silver Crown radio
stack in the panel which has been modernized to the 6 pack
instrumentation layout
My Commander is located in Zeeland Michigan at The Ottawa
Executive Airport - Z98 at in my attached hangar. My cell phone # is

Hey Adam,
thanks for the post; N777LS was also for sale in 2009, sadly she does not seem
to fly much... (unless of course they changed engines and props)
In 2009 it was advertised as having 247 hrs SMOH on the engines and 317 SPOH. Now
it is advertised as having 258 hrs SMOH and 249.7 SPOH?
I'm not trying to be picky here but the total time somehow has also not changed
between now and 2009: 4739TT.
Bottom line this bird sits a lot, but being based in ID we know someone who would
know the scoop if anyone is really interested. It must be a real sad situation
to depart with a Commander but it makes sense if you are not flying the bird
anymore. By the way, the price also used to be 110K!
Sooo Adam, don't feel too bad about your 520, you've already put more hours on
your first month than this bird in 2 years!

Team,
I have been watching this aircraft for some time. It has been listed on My Plane.com
for $75,000.
Talking to Jim Bob, when it was purchased sometime ago, Morris did an annual on
it. It has been inside a hangar for most of the time.
The company that owns it, makes plane movers. NW Mfg, Inc. Powertow.com There
is one of their units in the photos.
Looks like nice equipment, radios and A/P STek 50.

It's a nice price and she looks to be in pretty good shape. But I wouldn't trade
my 520 for anything... At least not now when I've spent $35K on her!!! [Shocked]
