Hi all. I am looking for a seal for my 1955 560a/ L-26. This is the oval sh aped seal that goes on the lower engine cover (round cowl style) and seals the intake system where the cold air intake tube of the lower cowl lines up with the metal housing with the door for cold air/hot air selection that then attatches to the carburetor inlet. The parts book calls the housing an adaptor. The rubber oval shaped seal is glued onto the lower cowl and pres ses up against the carb inlet when mounted onto the airframe. The parts boo k refers to the seal as part number 2610128, there are two on each engine. Mine are getting tired and will have to be replaced. If anyone has an idea where I might look for replacement, please let me know. Thanks to all who h ave helped me keep the last L-26 flying. Scott

I replaced the seals on my 560 with a clip on bulb seal From The Standard Products Company in Dearborn, Michigan part # 75001361. This is a co-extruded 'Bulb' seal with an integral wire reinforced "U" channel that attaches (pushes) onto the sheet metal edge of the cowling. This seal style is common to a myriad of automotive and marine applications. I still still have some, give me a call and I'll send a sample to you.
