This leads me to believe that there is
virtually no Commander that couldn't safely get in and out of here. Even an
685
would be able to, I think.
The rule of thumb for the AC-685 at sea level on a dry, level, paved runway
is that if you're at the end of the runway and you can see the other end i
t's not long enough. That's a quote from Morris Kernick and it's true.

Takeoffs in a 685 are one of my least enjoyable aviation experiences. I
fully expected to die just about every time.
Short grass field at high elevations in a canyon? No way!
