The problem is that the propeller, after the oil is good and warmed up, wants to go to feather at any RPM less than 1500-1800. Oil pressure is good at the back of the engine, have tried different governors, have changed props. ---- Bill Leff <BillLeff1@aol.com> wrote: > Central Cylinder Omaha. What is the problem? Sounds like the featherlocks on the propeller bulkhead. There are three sp ring loaded locks or "stops" to keep the propeller from going onto feather at low RPM. Remove the spinner dome and you will see them. Check to make certain they are extending. If they are it is the seal between the cranksh aft and the gearbox. Was the gearbox recently changed?? -----Original Message----- From: bkirkwoo <bkirkwoo@elp.rr.com> Sent: Thu, May 8, 2014 11:49 am Subject: Re: Commander-List: Reduction Gear Problems The problem is that the propeller, after the oil is good and warmed up, wan ts to go to feather at any RPM less than 1500-1800.
