Mo, how much weight did you lose? Every 6 lbs you lose extends your
range by 5 miles in a 500b.

It appears that I have been hacked. About 30 years ago I lost about 80 lbs
. and my weight has not varied over 5 or 6 pounds since then.
It would be most interesting to look at the data that compares the gross we
ight with the fuel burn. My 680F(p) burns about 55 gallons per hour=2C and
the maxim gross weight is 8=2C000 lbs. Usually the take off weight is ar
ound 7=2C600 lbs=2C as I most often fly either alone or with one lite passa
nger.

Sorry about hacker. I rounded out fuel burn on the 500B to about 30 gals
/ hr at 12000FT , about 200mph. That's about 1.1 mile per Lb of fuel.
hope that provides incentive for maintaining a lean frame. I'm about
198 down from 250 when I bought the commander 24 yrs ago. rgds
