It is 98% chance that you will land on the west side, ie 17R/35L. You might want to look at an AFD before departure. There are several taxi way closures on the notams. From reading them and listening on ATIS 719-596-7040. I don't see how they would affect any of us. Unless you land on 17R hit the first brick if not in the overrun break hard and turn off on A1. Leaving 10,822 ft that you could have coasted on to A2 or even A3 traffic permitting. On either A2 or A3 turn right. Stop say hi COS GRD I WANT TO GO TO CUTTER. They are in the north part of the ramp, directly ahead of A2. If landing on 35L coast to A4 or A3 take a left. Same drill. ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 06:47:24 PM PST US From: Moe Mills Subject: Commander-List: Colorado Springs Commander Folks: Wow! it's later this week. I am so excited that I went for a bi-annual fli ght review this morning and as could be expected it went exceedingly well. While driving back home and contemplating a mental post flight review of my most excellent performance=2C it came to my attention that perhaps I have received more awards in the last several years at our meetings than anyone else. Due the fact that this will be a very short flight for me (about an hour and twenty five minutes) there is no chance of receiving the award for the furthest flown is only fair to those with a lower skill level than me =2C to also eliminate myself from the competition for the much coveted GOLD EN PEDAL award. Would someone please be so kind as to advise me of the tim es when the judges for this award will be on the tarmac. With this informa tion an arrival can be scheduled when the judges will not be on duty=2C whi ch in turn can give others (though undeserving them may be) a chance to win this most prestige's award. See ya soon! Therefore the "Highest Time Airframe" award will have to go to someone else. Like Nico, I will be there in spirit, and will miss seeing all of my Commander friends. Nico, we've yet to meet, but I'm sure it will happen someday. I hope things work out with the family and I'm sorry to hear of your loss & challenges. I am currently looking at two Lear 35A models for my FAA pt135 operation. I have two plane identified, one of the two is in pre-buy this week. I am looking for some backing on these aircraft to match what I have raised to date. You would have a guaranteed return on your investment. The mission for the planes will be air ambulance. The FAA certificate, Academy Airlines, is in it's 50th year of operation. If anyone is interested in learning more please contact me.
