Saw the video this morning on the news too. Recognized the tail of a Twin

Subject: | Sad News too close to home |
Folks,
Very sad to inform that this morning at 2:45 outside of Chicago Midway International
N30MB (500B) went down and crashed into a home. It seems the young pilot
lost the left engine and was trying to make it back to the runway.
Luckily the couple sleeping in their bedroom were untouched, unfortunately by looking
at the plane's attitude it seems the pilot stalled and lost control trying
to save the plane.
Sad day for all, specially for Central Air.
My condoleances to the young pilot's family and to John and Andrew.
The news is all over the web including front page of the NTSB. One of these clips
has the ATC recording; he was very calm and seemed to have the situation under
control. The chief fire fighter mentions that there was leaking fuel on the
living room.

Hopefully we can learn from this tragedy

Hi Peter,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention - our thoughts and prayers are
with Andrew and John and the Central Air family.
An amazing twist that it involved the aeroplane registered in recognition
of the late Murray Brown, Central Air's former Manager Operations.
A very sad day indeed!
