Subject: | Twin Commander Flight Group Flyin - 2016 |
Hello Folk,
Some of you will be aware that every year since 2001 a bunch of private &
corporate owner (piston & turbine) Twin Commander enthusiasts have got
together for a weekend of seminars and social events. In the past few years
a little more emphasis on social events has been the norm.
Labelled as the 'Twin Commander Flight Group Flyin' this annual event has
travelled around the USA and in 2016 it was decided that the venue be The
Hangar Hotel, Fredericksburg Texas - this is indeed a great venue - sadly
the venue policy does not cater for minors, so please do not plan to bring
children!
Dates are: Thursday 22 September (arrival day) through Sunday 25 September
(departure day).
A tentative booking for 15 rooms has been made - contact Shylo Adams,
Marketing and Events Manager (shylo@hangarhotel.com) 844-596-2300 to make
your reservation.
Rooms will be held until 1 September 2016 at discount rates: Weekday $119
per night; Friday/Saturday $169 per night.
At the very least, it is such a special occasion to be able to visit with
folk who own/maintain and are passionate about Twin Commanders ranging from
bathtubs through to turbines. Core attendees include Mr Barry Collman -
Aero Commander Historian, Mr Morris Kernick - Principal Commander Services,
Mr Howard Windham - Twin Commander Hydraulics Guru and a great bunch of
local and international pilots/owners/maintainers and more.
Most folk tend to arrive on the Thursday or Friday morning and depart on
the Sunday. Some years the event has attracted a handful of aeroplanes,
while in other years the event has attracted 20 Twin Commanders or more.
Highlights include the Saturday night dinner - with its signature auction
to raise funds for a noteworthy cause; such as the ongoing restoration of
the original Aero Commander prototype at Oklahoma City.
*This invitation has also been posted on the new www.twincommandergroup.com
<http://www.twincommandergroup.com/> website.*
Watch this space for more details over the coming months...
Cheers
Russell
