But my engine wasn't locked up... You don't want to remove the head studs unless you absolutely have to. I had to remove about 10 of mine due to total rust of the threads (was a salty Minnesota core). Regarding the head nuts - I had to drill and chisel about half of mine off due to the nuts and studs rusting into a single mass. Regarding the electrolytic removal - I set that up too. It's largely "line of site" - won't do you much good for getting rid of rust that's deep inside, like on the connecting rods or rings inside the engine, for example. The pistons came right out of the jugs after I finished. I put 10 amps and let it sit overnight. I could not even budge the thing before that..
