I have hand proped a IO 360 on a C-182 without too much difficulty in
the past and wonder if it would be similar to a Corvair on my CH-701
when I am finished?
Before you ask it is because I would like to stay down to the Zenith
Reccomended 200lbs installation weight .
Thanks for you comments on this if you have actually proped a Corvair
engine....

Subject: | Proping a Corvair? |
How hard would it be to prop a Corvair engine on a CH 701?
I have done it without too much trouble on a C-182.
Anyone with experience proping a Corvair, please reply
Thanks!
John

The compression might be to high. This morning, while pre-flighting, I gave it
a good hard push and it didn't pass the compression stroke.
I have a fairly standard WW 2700cc over-bored .060". The volume compression calcs
out to 8.48:1
