One recipe that I use is a mix of wintergreen oil and ATF. If I remember correctly the mix is about 5-10 % wintergreen in the ATF. You have to give it overnight, at least, and a couple of days is better, with applications every 12 hrs or so. It's surprised me more than once when I used it as a last ditch effort.
