--> Corvette-List message posted by: "John Starn" <jhstarn@earthlink.net> Am thinking of getting another 'vette. A little background might be in order. Bought my first 'vette, a '56 3 speed, in 1962. From '62 thru 1981 I owned and drove a (not in order) '63, '64, '66, '68 and '77. I referred to the '77 as a two seat Monte Carlo. Did lots of slalom racing with all of them. The '64 had a blueprinted and balanced LT-1 w/ Hooker sidepipes etc. They finally started making CORVETTE corvettes again but WOW the cost. The '66 & '68's were both 427/390HP 4-speeds but these "used" ones cost as much as a new one. Looking for driver, not into matching #'s etc, Would also prefer a stick, convertable (hard or soft) and some horsepower. I guess my real question is: What years should I stay way from ?. JACK
