I only changed the gears. The differential housing is the original. It
costs more but I felt it was the least change. I went crazy trying to find
the right driven gear to get the speedo correct.

Our club sponsor, a Chevrolet dealer, was willing and able to supply our
club with several sets of the tranny speedo gears from 456 thru 308's. Of
course we as club members had purchased several "pumpkin balls". I don't
remember the color codes anymore but we had a small bag with them in it.
Your car code will have the original ratio in it but it will take a real
purist to jack up the rear, rotate the wheels and count the driveshaft
revolutions. JACK

No, I haven`t changed the gears in it, but it`s been
on my mind for years. Not sure what ratio it is but
it`s low. I`d like to slow the motor down for cruise
speed `cause I travel a lot.
