Unfortunately, the climate control has decided that it's always very hot in the car and will never supply heat. That's getting a little old here in New England as winter approaches (perhaps a gentle hint to put the car in the garage for the winter). I've looked at the diagnostic codes but no errors were set. I've also noticed that the source of the air (defrost vents, panel vents or under dash vents) doesn't seem to change as I change settings. A significant amount of air comes out of the defrost outlets at all times. It almost seems as if the controller needs its firmware reloaded. Does anyone have any ideas on possible fixes? For me this began a few weeks ago and so made for some warm trips, I was thinking it's a controller/chip problem also. Btw, when I first purchased the car (new) in 89 a fault developed in a few days where the heating controls didn't work. A new chip under warranty fixed the problem.
