From: "Yellowhammer"

Greetings Folks,

Read an ad for a Pulsar Kit number 1 for sale and it said it had a beefed up fuselage.
Was just curious as to how folks are beefing up their fuselages or if
anyone has beefed up other parts of their planes.

If so, what did you do to make it stronger?

Thanks,

Yellowhammer

I=99ve built in a couple of hard points to accommodate an over-the-sh
oulder
angle for the safety harness and a couple to allow removal of the seat
back. The technique is similar to the one used to install the engine
mounts. The main difference is that the engine mounts transfer load
directly to the embedded unidirectional glass. What that means to me, an
amateur builder, is that my mods need to be conservative - in terms of
structural integrity. Because these mods were important to me, I paid the
penalty of a slight weight hit in order to beef that structure up. My
advice would be to build the plane exactly as it was designed. If there
=99s
a standard feature you just can=99t live with, seek the advice of an
experienced builder before even contemplating a change.
