--> Engines-List message posted by: "Dave Ford" <dford@michweb.net> I am using an oil temp. probe that is 1/8 tapered pipe thread that has to fit into the oil sender hole on my Lycoming O360 either the accessory case hole or the oil filter adaptor which are the same size 5/8-18 straight thread. I haven't been able to locate an adaptor for this. Has anyone run into this before? Dave Ford RV6

Believe Autometer also makes them. --> Engines-List message posted by: Kent/Jackie Ashton <kjashton@vnet.net> Dave, I don't know if this affects you, but it's been said that it's not wise to mount a sender directly on the engine, the vibration can eventually snap it off. Something to consider. --Kent A. Subject: Rocker Identification
--> Engines-List message posted by: "Jack Lockamy" <jacklockamy@att.net> Removed cylinders from my 0-320 yesterday. As I was bagging the rockers on the last cylinder pulled I noticed the rockers ARE NOT identical.... one rocker has an 1/8" oil hole on the bottom of the rocker which faces the pushrod. Question: Is the rocker with the 1/8" oil hole the EXHAUST rocker or the INTAKE rocker? The rocker with the hole in the bottom is labeled A-12 but not other identifying marks or numbers. TIA, Jack Lockamy www.jacklockamy.com

--> Engines-List message posted by: "Dennis O'Connor" <doconnor@chartermi.net> You really, really need to get the overhaul book from Lycoming... This won't be the only thing to rear up and bite you - and some could be fatal - to the engine at least... These are not tractor engines in spite of the old joke... The extra oil spray is for exhaust valve cooling...
