Hello,
With great regret, I have to admit I cannot install the Wilksch WAM120
diesel I chose earlier. The accessories needed to install the engine had to
be put in before several other major components on my particular Europa and
I timed it badly - so that I am delayed unless I opt for a Rotax to speed up the
build.
I am convinced however that the diesel has all those qualities that
I explained before, - no spark plugs, ignition noise, carb heat/adjustment,
nor unburnt fuel we are used to, and a host of other advantages. I will miss
the bigger, slower prop and ground clearance, the lack of CO, the cheaper fuel
cost and the basic simplicity it promised.
For that reason I must relinquish my reserve of engine number 33 and invite anyone interested to pick up the position. Delivery has been promised for later this year, but that can be confirmed with www.wilksch.com.
