Johnson" Don, Don't know about seals..not that many in there..do know almost all my 400 hrs has been unleaded regular..only avgas has been on trips where I didn't have an option to get any gas except avgas..vapor lock is easier, but car gas is a whole lot cheaper..guess it boils down to personal choice..I've had only one problem..a bit of trash ? or something kept shutoff ball from sealing on shutdown, and gas leaked thru aircleaner overnight..took apart, blew out, and no more problems..only takes a minute particle to keep from sealing..perhaps that's why they go with avgas, thinking it cleaner..plus additaves used in some sections of country..don't use many in Fla..only thing that ticks me off on Ellison, is that they won't sell rebuild kits/parts..want that big chunk of change for sending back to them..it's a very simple unit!!
