Yes I meant Supercharging.
From all I've heard its the solution, with the least amount of failure modes.
No need for an inter cooler, no complicated and error prone(it will fail,
question is when) exhaust system,
lighter in weight, fewer parts, etc..
I really didn't want to get into a what's better discussion, just some
pointers as to who's done it and what kind of pre-packaged components are
available.

Scott,
I recalled an article from Sport Aviation. A search of the member's only area
of EAA.ORG returned this result:
Lancair Legacy
... 2002. 09. 48. Sport Aviation. Improving the Breed: Supercharging homebuilts
for increased speed and efficiency - Legacy (9 pgs). 2002. 04. 48. Sport Aviation.
...
I believe the builder Supercharged an IO-360 with a centrifugal blower.
Best wishes,
John
