Subject: Rotax 912ULS: Air box or no?

I am planning a 912ULS for my Kolb Mark 3 and not sure
if I should spring for the $400 air box Rotax offers,
or devise some other way to preheat the intake air to
deal with the chance of carb ice. Talking to various
resellers it seems not many are buying the air box.
Is something wrong with it? Or is there a better way?
