Go to www.moroso.com and look at their 23900 and 23901 models. As Archie described, they build pressure against an air-charge while the engine is running. You close a valve which locks the pressure and oil in the tank before shutdown. When it is time to restart, open the valve and a quart or more of oil will hit the galleries. This is also a good thing to have during brief negative "g" excursions as the oil will automatically flow into the galleries once the engine's oil pressure drops below the accumulators...sort of a poor man's inverted oil system. You have the option of manual or remote electric valve operation. Don Alexander
