I'm wondering what is a normal range of egt temps for a Lycoming O360 fuel injected?
I am seeing 1450-1500 which puts in the yellow approaching red at takeoff.
At cruise the egt's fall down to around 1350-1375. They are all about in
the same range. The location of the probes are nearly exactly according the
dimensions given. CHTs are below 400, still in the green. I have no mixture
control, this is a FADEC system. TCM says not to worry if cht's are below 420
deg., and egt's have not gone above 1600 deg.

CHT probes and gauges should be pretty accurate. 420 is very hot, I follow
GAMI's suggestion of concern at 350 F, never exceed of 375 F.... This
will promote a good long cylinder life.
EGT's can vary a lot by probe position and other factors. With EGT
readings your more interested in trends and relative readings. The
absolute temperature is not much use, unless you see a really low or really
high reading. With EGT your more interested in each cylinders "own" peak
temp and where each cylinder is in relation to that peak temperature.
