Scott, I think all you would need to do is remove an expansion plug and
install another. ----Wes

I have found out that the unplug/plug mod as used on the smaller lycs is
not all that is needed.
The 520 and some of the other bigbig bore ingines use a floating collar on
the crankshaft to provide oil to the prop. This must be supplied with oil
or the crankshaft will fail. A passage must be provided from the gov
supply to the prop supply. This is done by machining a groove in the gov
access plate that replaces the gov.

I am pulling the cylinders off and have come upon 2 - 3/4" nuts at the lower rear
of cylinders 3 & 4 that I have not been able to access. I have tried sockets,
swivel sockets, open-end and box-end wrenchs, but still cannot get squarely
on the nuts. Is there a special tool out there for this, or am I just overlooking
something. Randy

takes two of them , a left and right set.. let me look
for a link.. nope none on ebay now, check back, they
look like a long rod with an angle wrench on the end

Randy:
I've never done an O-320, but I pulled the cylinders off an O-235 using
a crowfoot wrench.

Purchase two cylinder head wrenches, one in 3/4" and the other in 9/16". If you
do any work on small Contnentals, you should also get one in 1/2". You can
get them from Aircraft Spruce, Wag-Aero, etc.
