The 520 and some of the other bigbig bore ingines use a floating collar on the crankshaft to provide oil to the prop. This must be supplied with oil or the crankshaft will fail. A passage must be provided from the gov supply to the prop supply. This is done by machining a groove in the gov access plate that replaces the gov. I have tried sockets, swivel sockets, open-end and box-end wrenchs, but still cannot get squarely on the nuts. Is there a special tool out there for this, or am I just overlooking something. If you do any work on small Contnentals, you should also get one in 1/2".
