spring on one of my intercylinder baffles- the top of the spring broke right
at the hook. Can I just rebend the end of the spring (still about 1-1/2" of
straight wire above the coil) or do I need to replace the dang $pring?

I'd bend a new end in it. It won't last as long as it did before since the
stress will go up, so 10 years from now you may have to replace it.

My AP used safety wire on my Lycoming O-360 to replace the broken spring. I
have not run it enough to detect any problems yet. Skip Simpson
