My Suzuki 1.3L 4cyl. engine was run on June 10 for the first time with a Powerfin
prop on the CH-701. I am using the Raven ReDrive with a radiator by Tech Welding
of Paducah, KY.
The air temp was around 75 and the cowl was off. Indicated water temp. went to
about 210 degrees at which time the thermostat opened and we had a sustained
temp.of around 190 to 200 degrees. Oil pressure was very good, even at idle.
The in-tank fuel pump appears to be working well. An air vent was added to
the auxiliary tank. I have not done a full static run-up at this time, but
intend to in the near future. The engine was run for less than 30 minutes, so
the above information could change with actual flight conditions. At this time,
I am pleased that all appears to work well. Time in the air will tell the
story. Looking at late July for possible completion.
