They have a great idea and the potential for a new powerplant is right
on thier doorstep. They just can't seem to figure out how to open that d
oor. After hearing, "next month" for years now my bets are they will del

zen moment of enlightenment & realize that they've got to beat the Lyc
price point to sell any volume, they will likely sell a lot of engines.
(No government money involvement is an encouraging sign.)
I'm building a -7. Motor mount & cooling system are much bigger concerns
to me than the custom cowl.
If you aren't too far along, keep an eye on Mistral. they are pretty far
along in the certification process on a Wankel (Mazda) rotary, & intend
to build a spark assisted diesel version after certification is
completed on the gas version.

Martin,
Just a thought since your in the home build world with the RV, why don't
you do the engine mount and fairings yourself. I am an IE and work with
many local engineers to over come design issues all the time. You would
find that you could do this for much less and in most cases get a better
product. And use that idea of ripe off as it relates to design
information. The first thing I would do is get the drawings of the
Diamond aircraft engine mount and redesign it for the RV. Look at why
and how they did what they did and reverse engineer it, it's not that
hard. As far as the fairings/cowling and as a composite home builder,
these are very easy thing to make and design using what is out there as
a base model.

r gets delivered can you imagine getting replacement parts for it. This
is the main reason I created a firewall forward installation using a V-8
