Catalytic converters have been removed form almost all cars around here that are out of warranty The open the ends and crush out the old honeycomb and re install the empty can... Don't try this in your jurisdiction until you know there aren't any AP laws or there is no one with the authority to check your converter. Also, if vehicle is newer than 1981 probably uses oxygen sensor that will be ruined by lead, which puts vehicle in full rich mode permanently.
