You could fly a P51 on that kind of flow. My friends Cardinal with same engine typically burns 8.5 GPH in cruise and more in climb. You have an IO which means injection. I think you will find out you may need lots more pressure than a few inches of head for the fuel injection... I haven't looked it up but I think it's well above twenty psi and maybe well over 40 psi. I think carburetted models require between 3 and 6 psi pressure. Pumps push fuel a lot better than they can suck it. As a matter of fact you could say they suck at sucking!
