Greetings Pat,
Following your e-mail I checked on the Dyna-Cam Engine on the Internet.
I had never heard of this engine but I had heard once of the principle.
I find the engine fascinating, as it in principle seems to be better
than conventional engines in most ways. The main obstacle in my opinion
is proving its reliability, as this feature is vital in aviation. I
wonder how long the rollers, their bearings and the swash plate can be
expected to last before failure. And whether it would be possible to
make a diesel engine based on this principle reliable. To prove its
reliability many units have to be sold. But to sell in any quantity the
reliability of such engines has to be proved. That is a conundrum.
Conventional piston engines have a track record of a century and a
quarter. As reliability is so critical for aviation and maritime use I
was wondering whether such engines could be sold in large numbers for
automotive, railway or stationary use. Or perhaps for military use. It
is possible that such engines could be used for drones. After logging
enough hours without any breakdowns it may be possible to accept such
engines in the civilian aviation market. As the saying goes, if one can
build a better mousetrap then the whole world will beat a path to one's
door.
Good luck with the Dyna-Cam Engine Production Startup efforts.
Kind regards
George Nielsen

that the need for starting up new production efforts that would bring many new
jobs online would have a lot of support from entrepreneurs.

The marine market is alive and well, but not as able to attract potential investors.
