Paul,
Try using Aeroquip FC-650 like Mal??? It will satisfy all the things you want.

P.S. without the problems of Teflon needing special fittings.
I think I will use Aeroquip FC-650 simply because not only did Mal decide it
was good enough for him, and that is pretty well enough alone for me, but it
can take diesel, if ever I got really adventurous with my engine selection.

I hope I don't offend anyone or break rules of Forum.
Just thought this gives some realism to life on Local Election Day in
UK!
brings back lots of memories...
According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were
kids in the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's probably shouldn't have survived.
Our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paint. We
had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets, and when
we
rode our bikes, we had no helmets. Not to mention the risks we took
hitchhiking. As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or
air bags. Riding in the back of a pickup truck on a warm day was
always a special treat.
We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle. We ate
cupcakes, bread and butter, and drank soda pop with sugar in it, but
we were never overweight because we were always outside playing. We
shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle, and no one
actually
died from this.
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then rode
down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running
into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem. We would
leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back
when the
street lights came on. No one was able to reach us all day. No cell
phones. We did not have Playstations, Nintendo 64, X-Boxes, no video
games at all, no 99 channels on cable, video tape movies, surround
sound, personal cell phones, personal computers, or Internet chat
rooms.
We had friends. We went outside and found them. We played soccer,
and sometimes, the ball would really hurt. We fell out of trees, got
cut and broke bones and teeth, and there were no lawsuits from these
accidents. They were accidents. No one was to blame but us. Remember
accidents?
We had fights and punched each other and got black and blue and
learned to get over it.
We made up games with sticks and tennis balls and ate worms, and
although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many
eyes, nor did the worms live inside us forever.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's home and knocked on the door, or
rang the bell or just walked in and talked to them.
Soccer League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who
didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Some students weren't
as smart as others, so they failed a grade and were held back. Tests
were not adjusted for any reason.
Our actions were our own. Consequences were expected. The idea of a
parent bailing us out if we broke a law was unheard of. They actually
sided with the law. Imagine that.
This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers and problem
solvers and inventors, ever. The past 50 years have been an explosion
of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and
responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.
If you're one of them. Congratulations!
You have had the luck to grow up as kids, before lawyers and government
regulated our lives, for our own good.
Regards
Gerry (56 and getting older, but happy!)

Gerry,
That's fine but wait 'till we're led by the nose into full European
Federalism then you'll need a note to go to the loo, and what's more you
will be powerless to vote out the faceless burocrats who write the note.
They've even got us painting the roads in Grimsby. You will have heard of
the Forces statement " If it is stationary paint it and if it moves oil it"?
well just wait and see what the next generation will have to suffer! The
people who you vote for will be in a Regional Assembly eons away from the
area where you live and certainly will have no say in the interests of Great
Britain and even less in the things that are important to your local way of
life.

Unless the guidance on this has recently changed, the plate should be
attached near to the entrance of the aircraft. Which would for convenience
could mean the outside of one of the "headrests".

Unless things have changed lately, the main purpose of the plate was to
establish the identity of the airframe in the event of termination of its
Certificate of Airworthiness or equivalent. For this purpose (here anyway),
the plate was specified to be attached permanently to a major component of
the fuselage or the main wing spar and easily observed if possible. The SS
qualities were to prevent total fire damage initially.
Two identical plates were allowed where all qualities could not
be acceded to by just one.

Hi! A likely place is on the panel to remind any new pilot what his call

Subject: | VP props again - does anyone want a ... |
--> Europa-List message posted by: Mark Burton <markb@ordern.com>
Folks,
I apologise in advance for the commercial nature of this email but I
can't think of another way of presenting the question to a wide
audience.
As some of you know, I have recently started manufacturing a Constant
Speed Controller specifically designed for the Arplast PV50/Rotax
combination (www.smartavionics.com). I am very happy with how it has
turned out and look forward to steady sales.
Recently, a few people have inquired asking whether the controller
would work with other VP props and my answer has been: sorry, in its
present form it only works with the PV50 but, if sufficient interest
is shown, I could produce a generic version that would work with other
VP props.
Therefore, I would like to gauge the possible interest in a generic
constant speed controller product that would work with any electric VP
prop that runs off 12V and is fitted with limit switches. I can think
of at least one propeller that fits into that category.
Apart from lacking the ability to display the current propeller pitch
(a PV50 thing), the generic controller would have basically the same
capabilities as the PV50 version (and cost about the same).
If you have an interest in such an item, please respond to me, (not
the Europa list, please) so that I can see if it is worth doing.
Thanks,
Mark

This question has probably been answered many times before. Since I wasn't
in that stage of the build where it wasn't important to me it most likely
went in one ear and out the other. What is the consensus on the most
effective cleaner for removing the mold release from the outside of the
fuselage. I started to sand some dry microed divots in my vert stab and
the stuff started flaking off when sanded.

Good old soap and water should take it off.
