Look up Ciba.
If you are lucky Qantas will use it and Ciba will be able to supply it
in single packs.
Ciba NZ will supply it providing I'm willing to buy 10 packs at a time
because that's how Air NZ buy it.
I would add that if it's not being used in a mission critical
application it sticks just as well 4 years after expiry date.

Darren:
Make a sample lap joint coupon and do a pull test on it till failure. If
the fiberglass breaks before the adhesive joint the material should still
be serviceable, especially if it is stored in a cool dry place. Just make
sure you build up enough layers of fiberglass to represent what you are
bonding to. Then just use what you have.

I was talking to Falcon Ins (EAA) today, about builders risk insurance and
other insurance.
They will accomodate builders risk, and first flight provided you follow the
EAA Flight Advisory Program.
They do not offer Glider, or Motor Glider insurance.
Who offers Motor Glider insurance in the States (NY)?

Hi Ron-
I calibrate the ASI on my Avid Flyer by placing an O-ring on the static
probe. Moving the O-ring aft of the static port causes the indicated
airspeed to increase, and if forward of the static port the indicated
airspeed will decrease. A few runs in both directions over a measured or
known course will converge on the best position for the O-ring. Of course,
nowadays with GPS it's a bit easier!

Put a blob of modelling clay on the door sill, where you plan to put the
third shoot bolt, then close the door and reveal the space between door and
sill.
Now sketch a suitable latch, which can be a wedge of nylon riveted to the
sill and a similar latching wedge riveted to the door so that they can
latch (relying on the flex in the door). You don't need to drill the door
frame or the door (except for the rivets) so there will be no strength
compromisation.
I saw this neat idea on Mal McLure's very nice Europa just north of Sydney.
I can confirm that the compressive strength of the fuselage is worth having
in a crash situation. It saved me from a severely broken back.

Try Costello Insurance Associates in Tempe, AZ. 800-528-6483 Sue Fassett is
who I usually deal with. They insure my glider and towplane. It stands to
reason they would do a motor glider.

Thanks to those who pointed me to Australian suppliers, I am following up
these leads.
A further question if I may.
Some people commented that the out of Araldite 420 was fine to use if it was
non-structural or if when tested it seems to stick fine. Well our 420
expired last June so it is not that far out of date. It looks okay and
seems to glue well and we have tested it on aluminium and fibreglass. I am
looking for some more as we are close to bonding in the cockpit module which
I guess you could call a structural joint. Also I am not sure we have
enough. It talks about 800 grams in the manual, I think we have about 700
grams.
Can people tell me how much they needed?
And give me their opinion on using slightly out of date 420 on the cockpit
module bond?

I joined SSA (Soaring Society of America) and got my liability insurance
through Costello. I had very low time in the airplane at the time I started the
insurance (basically zero!) but now have about 60 hours.
