I found 1 1/2" "class 200" pvc pipe at the local plumbing supply. Class 200
is about 2.5 mm thick. Schedule 40 is much thicker and heavier. Ripped it
down to about 40% on the table saw. I used two layers of bid over it to
attach to the fuse.
Under the door sill I used 1/8" balsa wood with a layer of carbon fiber bid
on each side to form the run for wires, and this stiffened the door sill
very nicely. From the door sill to the "headrest" I glassed in a scrap of
Cockpit module to tie them together and that really stiffens the door sill
in that area. I think I will pull all the wires through, then finally glass
the transitions between these different shapes.

Hi All,
I made some cable ducts under the door still using balsa wood with a layer
of bid on each side. I went the complete length of the door sill. The
balsa was laid up from the bottom of the door sill to the cockpit side and
formed a triangle shape. It has plenty of room inside and formed quite a
nice cable duct, and being triangular in shape it took minimal room from the
shoulder width area. In addition it added considerable rigidity to the door
frame. If you take a look at http://europa363.versadev.com/jul-01.html you
can see a photo that shows the rear section of it.

Free to good home - Electric trolley
Hi All,
I have an electric trolley I acquired with the intention of making either a
winch for what ever trailer I eventually get/make or a device to clip to the
main wheel and use an electric motor to pull the plane.
But at this moment in time I need the space more than anything else, so if
anyone on this list has use for a good high power 24V motor, it's available
for immediate collection. It would need a transit sized van or trailer and
needs to be picked up from Witney (near Oxford, UK).
If I still have it next weekend, I'll pull the motor off and dump the rest.

I just wanted to let everyone know that a raft of enhancements and changes
to the Club Web Site have been uploaded today:
1) New areas for members to offer equipment loans and holiday homes to
other members, as well as discounts on accommodation in a hotel in Scotland
2) All the back-issues of the Club newsletter "The Europa Flyer" (this
is 60Mb of data so please give them a few more hours to upload - I think
I'll go and work on my autopilot servos while they do that... :-) )
3) Committee details - more information about the people who run the
Club on your behalf
4) Links - yet more added and updated in what is becoming a very
comprehensive set of links indeed
5) Mods - some additional details of individual mods
I've also been working on resolving the issues that users of some browsers
were having using the navigation bar on the left hand side of the window.
The coding of those pages has been rigorously checked and updated to ensure
it is fully compliant with the international standards - if you are still
having problems, please let me know.
Finally, I am aware that due to a technical issue on the server, the
navigation bar at the top of the pages (that users who prefer a 'non-frames'
site need to get around) has disappeared. I am working on getting this
resolved by our ISP.
