For those people that are lucky enough to have finished their aircraft (I'm
still working on wings) and are heading for Arlington please take note.
As part of the Europa Rescue Service I would be more than pleased to assist
in anyway I can, those that might encounter a problem when passing over
Northern California. I live in Redding and am about 10 minutes from Benton Airpark
(O85 N40'34.49 W122'24.48 2420 ft Asphalt Runway) and about 20 minutes from
Redding Municipal (RDD).
I have a large shop, tools, and a guest bedroom for those that may require a
short stay in my town. While I don't have a trailer arraignments can be made
if necessary.
So, if your traveling north through California, up through Oregon, and into
Washington and run into a problem near me, please feel free to give me a call.

Apologies to anyone who sent me an e-mail in the last week or so and
is awaiting an answer. My Mac has been in pieces and I've been unable
to get online (or indeed to use it in any other way), while awaiting
a firmware update on my internal CD drive. It's back together now &
I'm now starting to work through the 1312 messages accumulated during
the last 8 days and will deal with those needing replies as soon as
possible. Likewise new membership applications for the Europa Club
have been on hold and will now be processed.

Just before I had to go offline (see my other recent posting), I
uploaded a new batch of ID and passwords for the Europa Club website
members-only area.
However, it appears that something has gone wrong since around then
as I've found a number of complaints about an "internal server error"
message coming up for all the members-only pages even before users
are asked to enter their ID & password.
Along with catching up on all the accumulated e-mail (& getting ready
to run the Europa Club stand at the PFA Rally next week), I'm trying
to sort out what's gone wrong and get it fixed. In the meantime I am
processing received requests for access from paid-up members, and
once it's running again, all those people who've received an
acknowledgement from me will also have access.
Please be patient until Jeremy or I post a message here to say that
things are working again.
Sorry for the problem, and we'll try to be as quick as possible.

Hello All,
The 32nd International Air Rally will be hosted by the Guernsey Aero Club and will
run from Friday 12th until Sunday 14th September. There will be various competitions
and a Saturday night "Hangar Extravaganza" with the theme "100 years
of flight". One of the 15 trophies will be awarded to the aero club with the
largest number of aircraft attending and the Europa Club will be recognised
as an aero club.
