Just a quick note to let everyone know I've made some more updates to the
Europa Club Web Site. The key change is that we've managed to work out a way
around the problem with the server configuration which meant that some
browsers just saw plain HTML instead of the properly formatted page - I've
implemented the change across the site.
The change has also meant that the top-of-page menus are working again for
those who prefer a non-frames version of the site.
As always, please let me know if you are having problems with the site - if
you can tell me what browser and version you're using, that helps
enormously.
Finally, as Rowland mentioned in his recent email, we are having problems
with the Members-Only area - it's another server problem and Avnet have been
informed.

In the manual regarding the sternpost and rudder, Chapter 32 for some, it
mentions that the sternpost has been temporarily attached previously. Can
someone who is more familiar with the sternpost setup advise me as to when
in the earlier part of the build it was temporarily attached?
The rationale is to temporarily attach it, irrespective of the 76 mm
dimension given in the manual, as to become the controlling rear datum
width for the width of the rear section. My friend tells me that he, and I
recall many others have talked about the unusual amount of force required
to distort the rear fuse to minimise gaps around the rudder. This has been
offered up as a solution, or at least an aid, plus it will also allow me to
set the rear section plumb, so that when I retemplate up my rear bulkhead
ahead of the torque tube, I can do so such that it holds any small amount
of twist required to keep the sternpost vertical and plumb, as the rest of
my fuse is level. So, is this a good idea or not???

Can someone further ahead please tell me what the rebates either side at
the top of the sternpost are for? One of them conflicts with the top hinge
point of my rudder. The other thing I have noticed from temporarily
clecoing it in place is that I can easily distort away from vertical. I
haven't got my front bulkhead in though yet. So, if I was to set up the
sternpost vertically before templating up my rear bulkhead, can I simply
take a mid point at the top and put it over the longitudinal axis????
