Congratulations Bob, That's great news. I wish that I'd been there. How is
the ground handling? etc. etc.
Best regards and happy flying.

Finally today at 10:45am N166BB took to the air at Lakeland Regional Airport.
Lee Omernik was the test pilot for the first flight which lasted approx. 20 minutes
in 93F degree temps. Engine temps stayed in the green even after a 15 minute
taxi. Squawks were a slightly erratic FlyDat and fuel odor. Power is 912ULS
and Prince P tip prop.
It took longer that I had thought to get to this point but it is worth the wait
to see your creation take flight.
Keep at it.
Regards,
Bob Berube A166 Conventional

Bob Hi!
Well done on first flight! Having seen some of the various innovations
you've tried over past 2 or 3 years it's nice to hear you persevered with
them and got there!
Happy Flying!

Hi Bob;
Augustene and I want to say congratulations on the first flight of your airplane.
Its been a long time in coming. We know you have blazed some new trails with
the landing gear, and other mods.
Now go and enjoy your Europa and put that "Europa grin" on your face.

| I too have installed these ventilators. A hole saw of 1 7/8" was used for
| the opening. I chose a position midway between the front and rear span of
| the windshield, just below the thick reinforced part of the fuse molding,
| and above the fuse moldings jogle. This puts the ventilator just above my
| knee and just clears the panel glareshield. After I cut the holes it was
| apparent that the skin is very thin and flexible there so I added two
layers
| of carbon bid to stiffen it up. The units were bonded in with redux from
the
| inside, a filet of redux around the 21/2" dia. edge.
Kevin et al,
I tried to 'see' these ultimatoes ventilatoes in the AS catalog
online, but was stiffed by need-to-sell pages. Can one get a gander at same?

Hi all,
I purchased a set of the ultimate ventilators on the recommendation of
Bob Berube at Flight Crafters.
I have not installed them yet as I am still working on the wings of my
Euroapa, N914XL. But, I have taken digital photos of one of them for
Ferg. If anyone else out there would like to see what they look like,
let me know and I'll e-mail copies of the pics to you.
Happy building,
Bob Borger

Bob,
Allow me to join the happy gang of congratulators on the
occasion of your First Flight! I am miles behind (top not on yet) but have
opted for 914 so hope to get ahead soon.
Happy landings,
Ferg
PS; ......wonder whether I should consider joining you with my A064, but
bothered about crossing the border both ways - especially northbound (as
they want 'their' pound of flesh each time.

Congratulations Bob !!!!
I know that must be a very satisfying feeling. How did Lee like the
"conventional" gear? And how well did the NACA vent in the tail work?
Looking forward to the perfomance numbers too!
Stop by and see us when you get your time flown off. John and I would love
to have you flyi in to our field in Tennessee. Say hello to all the gang at
Flightcrafters!
Safe Flying,
Doug Lawton

PS For those of you who haven't seen it, it really is a beautiful plane!
The finish is impeccable.

Gidday,
I too would like to congratulate Bob. As for this Prince P prop, never
heard of it until today, but my superficial searching makes me believe that
it may be a fixed pitch. Is this so??? If anyone knows of a good website to
have a look at this prop I'd be really interested in getting it. Surprising
these days for someone to "not go Airmaster", but maybe the blades could go
into an Aimaster hub.
In anticipation.

Hello Robert
Don't know if it should be of concern or not, but did you install any kind
of screen to prevent bugs from flying in cockpit?
Once had a Bumble Bee make its way inside a C-172 I was flying through a
vent. More distracting that you would think.
