What about Vanessa Sumerhill building in Cambridge -although I think Keith is allowed to help too- (Hi keith! ;-) ) and Bill & Sue Sisley already flying in New Zealand? Over here, Sue is quite rightly irritated when paperwork (from the PFA for instance) just lists one name as the builder-and leaves her out of it- could this be the reason why female builders appear to be a bit rare.? Bill and Sue 465 Trigear -next step the undercarriage! ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 05:18:02 AM PST US From: Mike Baker Subject: Re: Europa-List: To all the wives... --> Europa-List message posted by: Mike Baker Primary builder gets the "repairman's" cert. That is the US EAA way. No such restriction here. Second and subsequent owners if they are members of the PFA may do the basic maintenance. Certain things need a PFA Inspector sign off. Very impressive pricing and claims. They are not in color but for the money black & white looks good. I like the engine monitor. Ya got to love compition and the free market. Jeff A258 They are at www.para-avation.ca ________________________________ Message 7 _____________________________________ Time: 04:03:45 PM PST US From: "Michael Grass" Subject: Re: Europa-List: New EFIS & Engine Monitoring products --> Europa-List message posted by: "Michael Grass" Hi Jeff Yes, I looked into the Stratomaster E2 engine monitor. It looks like the (almost) perfect fit for a 912/914. I like the fact that you get a graphical and numerical information from the display. The only drawback is, that there is only a connection for a single fuel flowmeter. This product, I believe, actually comes from south Africa. The distributor for the US is http://www.sportflyingshop.com/Instr/Stratomaster/E2/e2.html . Also they have single instruments who look attractive as well. We now have 2020 photos on the site; some inspirational, some sad, like tonyp's A184 (but will have a happy ending), some with pets standing in wings, (I'm guilty of one of those). But we can learn something from just about every one. We currently have 90 registered users; most have permissions set to add photos to the Gallery. If you want to add photos to the Gallery but can't, or have trouble, PM me on the site or post your questions on one of the forums. The Forums are also setup for posting off topic. Have a funny family picture, want to know if someone knows anything about custom cars, where to get a $2800.00 paintball marker, (yes, the number's right), or just about anything at all, go ahead and post it. If you'd like, I can setup a Forum for the abandoned wives and husbands of builders, to get to know each other. Thanks to the Europa community for making this a success. And big thanks to Jos for the use of the hardware that makes it go. SteveD. http://forum.okhuijsen.org/
